Chalet La Chaumière is located in a quiet area facing Mont-Blanc at 356 Route des Gaillands 74400 Chamonix, just a 10-minute walk from the town center. The bus and train will get you into town in two minutes and to each of the ski areas.
GETTING TO CHAMONIX
Whether you’re driving or would like us to arrange an airport transfer, getting here is simple. We’re just an hour from Geneva, with motorway access to the edge of Chamonix. If you come by car, the chalet has 2 car space in the garage.

GETTING TO SKI AREAS & PISTES
Chamonix's five ski areas are accessible by car, bus or train. It takes between 5 and 20 minutes depending on the location chosen. Public transport is free with the guest card "Carte d'Hôte". The train and bus stops are just 50 metres away from the chalet.

Use the train and bus for FREE in the Chamonix Valley
Carte d'Hôte pass
You will get your own "Carte d'Hôte pass" on your arrival to La Chaumière. This pass allows you to travel for free with the bus or the SNCF train for journeys in the Valley, between Servoz and Vallorcine. In addition, you will get discounts on admission to museums and the swimming pool.
Mont-Blanc Express Train
The SNCF line serves all the villages from Saint Gervais-le Fayet to Martigny (Switzerland), passing through Servoz, Les Houches, Chamonix, Argentière and Vallorcine. There’s one train approximately every hour. The SNCF line from Servoz to Vallorcine is free of charge for holders of the Carte d'Hôte pass, which is given to you on your arrival. Our train stop is less than 50 meters away and is called “Les Moussoux”.
Chamonix Bus
Regular urban transport serves all the Valley and ski areas. It is free from Servoz to Le Tour for holders of the Carte d'Hôte pass or a ski-lift pass. The nearest bus stop is just 50 meters from the chalet and it’s called “Les Pècles Moussoux”. These free mini-buses make it easy to get around in the city centre. Departures every 15 minutes in the high season.
